While planning to send the little-ones to school, nothing is more gratifying than sending the troops off armed with healthy and nourishing snacks and lunches. But what should be given in lunch that vanish the hunger of kid is a matter of great thought. Smoothies in this case, work out as the best option.

Smoothies are not only a fantastic way of packing loads of nutritious vegetables, fruits, seeds; nuts etc. into child’s diet but are a brilliant and quick breakfast when one is running short of time. Adding to this, the fact that the flavour and ingredient combinations while making smoothies is pretty much infinite and generally adaptable depending on kid’s tastes and dietary requirements.

Like said above, the flavour combination is pretty much endless, here are some wonderful healthy smoothie recipes that will be always loved by the kids.

 

  • Healthy Chocolate Chia Smoothie

This chocolate chia smoothie is packed with full of protein, fibre, and Omega 3 fatty acids and work as a great energy boosting drink for kids.

 

  • Frozen Fruit Smoothie –

A frozen fruit smoothie is good for the little superheroes. Blended frozen bananas, strawberries, spinach and almond milk actually make this drink delicious and vibrant.

 

  • Chocolate Cherry Smoothie –

This rich and creamy smoothie is truly full of luxurious flavour, loaded with powerful antioxidants, plant-based proteins, fibres and, natural sweetness which makes it a perfect meal for kids in the morning or afternoons. 

 

  • Coconut & Berry Smoothie –

This type of smoothies is all in all, a simple macronutrient balanced smoothie wrapping the body needs for protein, healthy fats, fiber, carbohydrates, and it tastes delicious!

 

  • Beet & Berries Smoothie –

Smoothies made up of beet and berries have high amount of antioxidants that help reduces inflammation and are a great source of iron, copper, folate and potassium. This is an easy recipe for kids of all ages to help with! 

These are some of the wonderful and easy to make smoothie recipes for the kids who won’t love vegetables and fruits. Try mix matching different combinations and serve smoothies to the kids in a plastic / glass to-go container that has a seal-able lid. Put the frozen smoothie in your child’s lunch. By lunch time the smoothie should be soft enough to eat, all while keeping the lunch cold.
